And Another Week Goes By

My friend Kathy Ivan is being moved today to the rehab floor for at least two weeks. I still have some concerns that it’s all moving too fast based on the condition of her foot wound but have to trust all the doctors at some point. All prayers and positive thoughts appreciated.  We took a laptop to her in hopes that she could go back to writing but she’s still not feeling up to it.  Can’t say that I blame her – a month in a hospital is a long time.

My household projects are on hold – translation, I have a half torn out guest shower and the deal I have with my contractor is I pay rock bottom pricing but if another job appears that pays him his actual fees, he goes. So he’s off fixing a house for a realtor friend of mine and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t get any overnight company until the bathroom is ready! Though I will admit, it’s funny how much nicer rooms look when you take things out – that tiny 30” green 1950s tiled shower really made the room look tiny. With it down to studs- the bathroom looks huge!  We’ll see if I can move some plumbing around for a better use of space!

The weather here is still oppressive. Has fall arrived for anyone in this country LOL.  I know in Texas September is a crap shoot for weather – but triple digits halfway through was more of a longshot.

I’m trying very hard to get Sweet Trust finished before I leave for NY later this month. Fingers crossed. So far so good – we won’t mention the book was slated to be finished end of August  (insert toothy grin lol) – I am however happy to report at 60% done this is seriously doable!

If anyone isn’t aware – the first three books in the farraday box set are on sale for only 99 cents everywhere

And do you folks know that I’m going to be signing books in Las Vegas in November on the 13th and 14th?

I’ll also be in Ohio in June and doing a reader writer cruise to Canada with Sheila Roberts and others in one year – September of 2027.

I think you now know as much about my life as I do!

Everyone enjoy your week and stay cool!
