And Winter is Back

I don't mean to fuss when so many people in the US are currently being dangerously affected by the weather - but it's cold! 

I moved to texas decades ago to get away from the New York winters (and the potholes lol). When I got here in October it was shorts weather and I was delighted. In August when we were all melting, I wondered if maybe, I'd made a mistake, but then all I needed was one winter visit to NY to decide I would take 100 degree August days over 30 degree NY winters, any day of the week. 

Except now, here in my sunny normally 55 degree winter days in Texas, we're freezing for days on end. I absolutely, totally hate it. I don't mind when the North Wind blows in for a day or two prompting us to bundle up indoors, but this malarchy of freezing weather for a week at a time with only a few days of warmth to break it up is starting to tick me off!  I will - like it or not- get over it - but today I have to bundle up and go outside to take my mother to the doctor for a B12 check up - You have to know how much I love my mother to go out in this freezing weather - 

As for work - all is on track with Quinn - I don't have time this morning to give you another snippet- but maybe next week I won't be so rushed. 

I do have good news on the diet front - was able to drop almost two pounds this week making up for last weeks small gain.  I truly need to drop more weight - my uncle told me once that every ten pounds of extra weight I carry is like carrying around a bowling bowl. I've never forgotten and think no wonder my poor heart isn't happy with me - I'm carrying around three or four extra bowling bowls!  I'll keep y'all posted on how this effort goes -
