Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over fifty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in North Texas with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

Holidays are Coming

Are you an early planner? Do you have all your holiday gifts bought and wrapped?

Or are you like me, staring at the calendar and asking yourself how can we be in the almost middle of December already?

I did manage to get my Christmas lights up on the house, so there is that. My husband, who in some ways is a little kid himself, has already bought a bunch of gifts, mostly books, for my grands. Now I sit here wondering if anyone would notice if we didn't decorate inside!  lol

While my ankle is improving greatly, I still spend a good deal of time in my recliner debating if I really want to walk across the house. Pulling out the Christmas decorations from the under the stairs closet is not an easy task when you're wobbly. For instance, remember that Halloween house? Well, they have their Christmas decorations up and I want to film it for you - except that means walking LOL. In the cold - is it cold by you? It's really cold for Texas. Normally we have a few warm days and a couple of chilly ones, but I've worn my coat more this December than I did all of last winter! Anyhow, the filming is going to have to wait for a warm evening. I could take daytime photos, but i drove past it last night and it is much prettier when it's all lit up at night.

The fun thing I'm looking forward to is that my grands are going to stay with us a week after mom and dad go home - yay! the downside for this night owl is that I'm going to have to get up every morning at 7am, but that's a small price to pay.

As for book news, another Honeymoon box set releases tomorrow, and I'm still working out the plan for book two in the new Sweet series. Haven't heard  back from my editor on book one, but hoping to meet up with a few author friends and work out the darn book.

Until then, enjoy the season!

Hope your leg/foot heals soon. I don't celebrate Christmas so I get off easy. Take care.

I love Christmas and make around 100 cards to send out every year. But with the Canada Postal strike going on (over 20 days so far!!) I can't send any out. Sorry, but you won't get one this year, and I can't ask for one from you, either.
We did get our outdoor lights up but other than a few snowmen, I'm not decorating since I'm going away with my Mom & sister for Christmas. My husband will go to our youngest daughter's for Christmas. He was invited to go with us, but there is no way he can sit at a winter resort for a week doing nothing. I'll stock up on books and it'll be a very relaxing week away.
It's the first time we'll be apart for the holidays but my mom turns 90 next month and I want to cherish every moment with her.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

I learned about the strike when I went to the post office here and they handed me back two cards to canada - I'll hang on to them until the strike is over!

as for your mom - SO important to keep making memories because eventually, time runs out for all of us!

Happy holidays to you!
