So far- So good!

​And another crazy week has flown by! First we now know that I do not melt in 105 degree heat. This August weather has been insane – even for Texas! I’m staying indoors as much as I can and waiting impatiently for rain or fall! Lol.  How’s the weather holding up where you live?
 
As for my health - I had my echocardiogram Thursday and the tech let me know there was nothing to make her run out the door screaming for a doctor – lol – I suppose that’s a good thing. I’ll be meeting with my new cardiologist today to discuss my test results and see what happens next. I’m hoping to get some answers to feel better. I am truly getting sick and tired of being tired!

The weight loss efforts haven’t gone well – I am about three pounds down for the month which is always a good thing, but that’s pretty much been the same for two weeks now so no real progress.  I am going to try the new product advertised all over the placed called Bioma – will let you know if it’s worth the hype!
 
My latest book in the Honeysuckle series – Sweet Courage – releases officially tomorrow! You can get it now today if you’d like direct from my website – but it will be available everywhere in ebook form tomorrow – the paperback should come any day now too!  And I’m already working on the November release – Sweet Trust.  I like that the K9 in this book will be a female: Faith. I’m hoping it all comes together as well as the previous books. Everyone seems to be very pleased with how the K9 series turned out and we still have two more books to come, Trust and the last one who doesn’t have a name yet.
 
If you’re wondering about my friend, Author Kathy Ivan, who was taken to the ER last week, she’s doing well. She had foot surgery to clean out the infection and everyone was happy that it had not reached the bone. There’s still more work to do but she was feeling more like her own self the other day so I’m taking that as a good sign!
 
As I write this, I’m smiling watching my husband play hide and seek without our four year old granddaughter – it really is entertaining watching them hide. Reminds me of our cat peaches. Peaches didn’t want to be bothered by people so she’d take a nap under the table cloth of a small round table. The problem is she never realized that her tail stuck straight out so everyone knew where she was. That’s what it looks like as the grands’ rear ends are sticking up from a box, or their feet sticking out from under the piano! Then of course you have the quiet giggles. It is truly entertaining!
 
Now I need someone to explain to me why orthopedists will not replace a hip until it’s excruciating? My husband has been struggling with a painful hip for almost two years. Last year we went to the ortho and he said that the cushion between the bones was thinning considerably, but not enough for surgery. Now, this year, he limps constantly and winces with pain frequently. I just don’t get why they wouldn’t fix it before it got to this point- and I still don’t know if this is ‘bad enough’ – just makes no sense to me!
