Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over thirty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

And We Have a Shower!

What a whirlwind week of work. So much can’t be seen. Our electrician must have come back four times to get all the wiring issues corrected, but now we’re pretty sure we know what all the switches do and we can turn lights on from both entries to rooms. I still can’t believe that the only way to turn the light on for the front dining room was from the kitchen, not from the front hall where you walk in! We had the same issue with my daughter’s house. Clearly both were designed by the same man LOL.
Anyhow, most of the changes had to be done to the bathrooms. The joy of this house is that the sellers’ taste and mom’s taste were the same so we had to do no real cosmetic changes. However, mom can’t be climbing into tubs anymore so we had to convert the shower but she liked the existing tile – so we tried to make it match.

In the old days they dropped the ceilings on the tubs. No idea why, but they did. As long as we were ripping out the bottom, we ripped out the top. Now if a tall man wants to shower – he won’t have to slouch! LOL. We also (though that part isn’t finished) rather than remove the tub spout, we decided to put a shower handle there so she can sit and bathe if she wants by simply using the existing diverter to shift from shower to tub (now sit) mode.

All in all we’re quite happy with the results! And even though I don’t care for the dark gray, Mom liked it. Including the blue counters LOL.

Do you lean more toward old style design or modern trends?  Me, trend traditional.

Okay, have to run, still so much to do!

We just finished updating our 2 bathrooms. Don't get me started on electrical wiring, etc. But ours turned out pretty good. We live in an area of started homes, we just never moved, and decided we had to keep the tub. We went with a shorter tub, I think they call them garden tubs, so we don't have to step over a high side.

Oh that's a wonderful solution, but mom is just not steady enough on her feet for even that. It's always nice to see a project finished :)
