Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over fifty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in North Texas with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We had to skip it this year.  My grands got sick and then gave it to my daughter. I wound up working all day - but progress is progress!  Though I did indulge in Pumpkin pie anyhow! LOL.

I'm trying to get more walking in. Yesterday we went for a walk at an old golf course.  There were these bushes along the trail.  Anyone know what they are?

While I'm staying with my friend - I have made some new friends - Tiger is a sweet little fifteen year old girl who is usually a bit anti social - you know, a cat lol.  Anyhow - it seems she's taken a liking to me.  I was an hour late leaving the house this morning because she climbed up on my chest and I didn't have the nerve to disturb her! LOL

So - Mitch's story is off to my review team in preparation for next month's release.  It took forever to edit. My editor says that the heroine is the most interesting character I've written.  Has anyone seen the old Bette Davis movie Now Voyager? It's one of my favorites of Bette.  As soon as Gwyneth's name came up in book one, I knew she was going to be much like Bette in that movie. When it releases, I'd love to know if anyone agrees with me!

With that off, my day was spent at the project house. The floors are in and I'm so excited. It looks SO much better than before!   What I have to decide is what to do with the fireplace.  My tendency is to leave it natural brick, others say I should paint it.  WHAT do you think?

Leave it natural. You can always paint later.

I would leave it natural. Perhaps have a wood piece cut to make a mantle, but besides that, I would leave it as is.

I loved Mitch's story and I never saw that movie with Bette so I can't compare. But I love how Gwyneth grew with the help of the Baron's.
I would leave it alone until you have everything finish, the room furnished, then you can see better what you'd like.
And the plant you found is an American Beautyberry (Callicarpa). The plant is a perennial and it isn't toxic or invasive.

I was SO tempted to taste it - but didn't want to wind up in the ER LOL.

Paint it a color to make it pop so it becomes the focal point of the room, the get a lighter wood mantle..
