Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over thirty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

Finding My Feet

Well I actually know where my feet are, LOL, but what to chat with y’all about is
something new for me. Since Morgan is about home renovation –well sort of – I thought
I’d share my frustration with a friend of many many many (well you get the idea) years
new kitchen project. For a very long time they’ve been saving and shopping for a small
summer home, a central place convenient for all the adult children to gather, and they
finally found one – the catch – the kitchen is tiny tiny.

Since I’m allergic to the kitchen, tiny works fine for me, but since she loves to bake and
cook—not so much. After weeks of designs and re-designs they agreed the one wall
needed to come down for space and flow and an island was needed for more counter
space. Of course in a tiny u-shaped kitchen the island needed to be sideways instead of
across – but it works. Except when the wall came down the opening was a foot shorter
than expected. Well, my friend was calm—I was not, lol. To me a contractor should
bring a needed design change to me before he does the work. This way I’m the one to
brainstorm options, costs, and what matters more to me, the end result or the budget.
That’s not what happened. So, in the end, the kitchen will be beautiful, my friends will be
happy, and I’ll have calmed down LOL.

It’s not hard for me to get riled up when things don’t go as expected. And I get riled up
easily for myself and the people I care about. Maybe we can convince my friend to share
before and after photos.

So this brings me back around full circle to what direction to take this in. Do y’all want
me to write about whatever is happening in my world? Or would you rather know only
about my writing? At the moment that would involve the next book, Honeymoon for
Four. It’s started and I’m excited about it – I think it’s going to be fun. I love cruises, and
it looks like there’s going to be a little make believe going on. If y’all want I can keep
you posted some on that!

I think until I find my stride, we’ll call this a day. If you have a minute just say hi so I can
see who finds me here, and feel free to make any suggestions about things that interest
you!

Take care,

CK

I enjoy just hearing about your days which never seem to be boring like mine. The dogs definitely need to be part of the story! I know we will be hearing about that precious grandbaby; that goes without saying. AND I would love a bit of insight in to those Farradays who have come to feel like friends.

I love hearing about you and what's going on in your life, the dogs and your books and what will be coming along. I do know how your friend us feeling with her kitchen remodel. We are starting the remodel of our master and guest bathes. I may think about screaming but we will make it through to the other side of all this. Have read almost all of your books and loved them all! Keep on writing. Am enjoying Morgan at the moment. You could also let people leave funny comments but I think that politics, religion and nastiness doesn't belong in this venue. Take care. Sue

thank you sue!

I have carefully stayed away from politics because my world is about happy ever after, a place that doesn't exist on the six oclock news. I have no idea if this blog allows photos but we'd love to see the progress on your remodels if it does!

You'll find me here every Monday! :)

I want to take a wall down in our small kitchen, too, my husband agrees but now to find time since he’ll do the work. It’s like the cobbler’s children...he’s a general contractor lol.

Shoot, I hit submit by mistake.
I like reading whatever you write about, I love your style. And I’m wondering, is there no email notification with your blog? Usually there is a widget that lets readers sign up for emails that get released when a new post is published. It’s all a learning curve 😀
