Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over thirty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

Hello again!

I am back in Dallas and back to the normal routine. Though, besides writing books, painting the first floor, and hanging artwork now that everything has moved around, I still have to take my mother to get her address changed on her state ID so she can qualify for her senior property tax discount - this has been a six month process and I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel! Fingers crossed.

I seem to be lacking a large painting for over the sofa - I've tried smaller ones and they just didn't blend well - so now I see that a larger painting works best, but the only large one I have has the wrong colors in it. So I decided to see if I could find some artwork from the New England lake where my husband grew up - the one that inspired the Hart Land series.  Well, I came across this photo and stopped cold - I thought wow that looks like my hubbies old porch. A little closer look and then the name of the photographer and sure enough it WAS my hubbie's family porch.  These are the green rockers that inspired green rockers in so many of my books!
Obviously the rocker on the left is the rocker inspiration, but the photo on the right was taken on a visit back this winter by a cousin. While this isn't the Main house, it's the inspiration for the cabins and the views.  So pretty,  don't you think?

There has been a lot of talk lately among authors about selling products - I keep thinking I should do canvass bags or coffee mugs, but my to do list is so very long - Do you guys like buying that sort of thing? If I were to make book related products, what would y'all be interested in?

Also- did anyone watch the oscars? I didn't but today I've caught a glimpse of some of the gowns - I agree that white dress with the huge head gear was incredibly inconsiderate of the people seated behind her - and I think Angela Bassets purple dress was lovely, but I'm not fond of all those big flowers that were everywhere, and I really dislike slits that come all the way up past the hip line - I think just above the knee is about as enticing as I like - otherwise it just looks like too much. What do you think?

I thought Jessica Chastain's dress was nice - simple - elegant. While I didn't care for the canary yellow, I did like kerry Condon's dress.  I'm more for classic elegance a la Audrey Hepburn than too showy. Then I would have like this red gown if the slit weren't so high and the bow on the shoulder weren't so big. As for Lady Gaga - I think I would have liked this dress a lot if the mid section weren't see through.  (if you click on each photo - the heads won't be cut off anymore! LOL )
SO many gowns were lovely, but reminded me of prom dresses not Oscar night.  Did you have a favorite?

The jury is still out for me - no dresses yet that I've seen that I simply loved and certainly nothing I would ever wear LOL.  Besides, it's time to get back to writing Owen so I'll leave y'all here and see you again next week!

I haven't watched the Oscars in years, but I rarely watch TV or go to the movies so I would have no idea what they were talking about lol.
I love the photos of the cabin & rocking chair. Perfect place to have Hart Land.
As for buying items, I did buy a hoodie sweatshirt of another author I follow. I guess it all depends on what is offered. No coffee cups...too many of them already! lol
Looking so forward to Owen. Have a great weekend, yes I'm late on emails too.

I got to visit with a bunch of authors on Sunday and Jana Deleon has some fun stuff for her Miss Fortune series - I'm just not that creative - but I love canvas bags - use them all the time for last minute grab and run items !

I don't watch the Oscars either - never was big on award shows - but I do love the gowns - especially back in the day when they were just trying to look beautiful and not shocking.
