Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over fifty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in North Texas with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

How was your winter week?

We had quite the winter snow fall this year. Once a year we usually get a winter snap for a few days, and every other year there's usually a little snowfall. Last year we had Snowmaggedon. We were without power for at least seven days. It was definitely for us and the rest of the state anything but normal.

This year was more typical. Two nights of snow or sleet with frozen white everywhere for a day or two. Very pretty to look at from mostly inside my house! LOL.

Of course the whole area stays home on days like this. North Eastern transplants can't understand why everything shuts down, until they get on the roads and encounter local drivers. Then it becomes clear that the ice is only part of the problem (no salt trucks) folks completely clueless of how to drive in the snow and ice are the bulk of the challenge. So we all learn to just stay home!

The other typically me thing is the tendency to be barefoot. So naturally while standing outside videoing my yard in twenty degree weather I had no shoes on.

Are you a cold weather fan? Love playing in the snow? A skier? Or are you like me and hibernate with hot tea on winter days? LOL.

Well, I'm one of the ones that thinks it's funny when the southern states have such a problem in the snow, but like you said, no salt trucks is a huge problem. We are still buried under all the snow we've received this year so far, in Ontario Canada. At least we can see the pavement on the road so driving is easier. I love the winter, and the more snow we get the happier I am. I just don't drive in it, which is ok when you're retired lol.
I hope you get back your warm weather soon. Stay warm.
Debbie :)

it's already 60 degrees in the daytime - we'll hit 70 by Friday - so yeah we're back to normal - just the typical February weather blip!

Good news! As much as I love winter, I do like the warm spring weather. :)

this is the nice thing about the south - we get mostly pleasant weather but a few days of seasons for the kids to play in :)
