Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over thirty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

And here we go again! Some years life is simply busy lol.  My niece went home on Tuesday and Friday I was on a plane to Washington DC.  I have a friend of almost twenty years who is my bucket list travel buddy. Every year we try to go somewhere we've never been. She's the reason I know there are more antelope in Wyoming than people LOL. She's also great at brainstorming stories and fixing logistics - like when I sliced a loaf of bread the hero had just dropped in the sink lol.  We've already fixed a few holes in the plot layout of book five of the Barons of Texas : Just one Taste. I'm looking forward to what the rest of this trip will bring!

We started our trip with a new to me state - West Virginia. Have never been there before but now I have and not only did I touch ground in West Virginia, I also walked on the Appalachian trail. I freely admit, since I am allergic to exercise, and as y'all now know from my last week's experience with 'hiking', this is most likely going to be my one and only appearance on the trail! LOL.

I also got a bunch of small town photos that I might use for a future small town series - we'll have to see :)

And this was just the beginning.  We also went to the well loved Turn The Page Bookstore in Boonsboro Maryland.  This is the one owned by Nora Roberts - it's a lovely little town. I bought some Blue Truck books for my grandson (He loves those!)

Today's blog is chock full of photos - our next day was on to Pennsylvania. Even though I lived in the Northeast for decades and have been to PA multiple times, I have never made it to Hershey.  Well yesterday I made it and had a lovely time!

This was just one of six chocolate sample we tried. The one from Tanznia was a bit bitter for me. The Dominican Republic was still strong but not as bitter. The one from Mexico was leaning more toward that milk rather than dark chocolate flavor. The fourth was our favorite - from Ghana.  It was somewhere between dark and milk chocolate, smooth and flavorful. The next one from Java was also quite delicious but it was much sweeter than Ghana and had a hint of caramel flavor. The last was the Hershey's milk chocolate we all know. Though it was much thicker than the other five and then what I expected. In the end, both our favorites was Ghana.
and what would a trip to Hershey be without food - for lunch there was what I call the kitchen sink - I have no clue what the real name is, but with sandwich meat and slaw and french fries, it was massive. I was less brave and ordered a cheese steak LOL.

And of course, what would a trip to chocolate world be without tasting the Kit Kat Pumpkin Pie Milk Shake ? :)  lol.  Honestly, I prefer the Sonic Pumpkin milkshake and wish they'd bring it back, but the graham cracker in the milkshake dipped in pumpkin was to die for!

OH! And check out the great fall color!

So - that's my report for now!  Will let you know if we come up with any new plots next week! Thanks for sticking around - Do you like fall colors and flavors or is it not your season?
