Still working away

We had a little excitement in the author community with an audiobook distributor doing what appeared to be a major rights grab - meaning they wanted agreement to do all sorts of things with our work without compensation or approval. Needless to say that created a lot of time suck conversations and rabbit hole investigating! 

I also got to spend yesterday hanging out with a table full of authors for a day of business discussions -  Among other things - merchandise - I am SO close to selling merchandise on my store - first two things will be a tote bag and a coffee mugs - but we need to pin down who we want to use and I'm still dealing with sample qualities. I'm about to throw two into the washer and dryer and see how the totes come out! ​

As for my health, my blood pressure seems to have stabilized. Now I'm working on my cholesterol. If anyone has some great ideas on how to lower that, by all means let me know. I have taken two steps, first, I am foregoing butter. Well not all of it, but I tend to put it on everything, including peanut butter sandwiches so that will stop. Second, I am increasing my daily steps. I had been walking around the island every time I put something in the microwave. That thankfully increased my steps by two or three thousand, but now, I'm walking around the house every time I talk on the phone - that has gotten my steps up by 5-7000 more so that's nice. My goal is those blasted 10k steps a day and when that's steady, I'll try and up it a bit more. 

If I could learn how to dictate and have the dictation transcribed, then I could walk and write like so many of my friends!  We'll see how that works out.

One fan actually posted on her social media page how excited she was to have made herself a bologna sandwich and just as she went back to reading - so did the characters in Just One Family!  I love having a hand in making someone's day a little more fun :) 

All right, I'm behind the curve here on getting just one rodeo finished and writing Paxton at the same time! Oh, and I almost forgot to eat lunch, better go do that before dinner time hits!
