Technology Is NOT My Friend

​Are you a techie person? I’m not. I even struggled with digital cameras when they first came out. I loved my 35mm. Had no trouble with apertures and other things, but figuring out how to take a photo without accidentally filming was not my strength. LOL.
 
It’s only gotten worse through the years. I am constantly having words with my phone. It does not cooperate. And my computer. Oye!
 
Well this weekend I got struck with technology mishaps in spades! We are trying to set up my website to sell autographed copies of books – well – we as in my help and the mouse in their pocket LOL.  Of course, everything is in building not-ready-for-prime-time stages, and I should know better than to touch any of it.
 
But, I got an email from a newsletter fan pointing out an error  with a cover. So in my eagerness to be expedient, I went in and changed the cover, hit publish, and set all the incomplete work live! O-M-Lord! Who is dumb enough to do this on a Sunday morning! Apparently ME! Lol.
 
A panicked call to my daughter who is much more tech savvy than me, and we worked through undoing some of what I’d done. Only accomplishing some meant I had to get on the computer with chat support, and after telling me that the part we couldn’t figure out couldn’t be undone, I was in full on freak out mode.
 
Fortunately, a few more minutes of interaction and the guy (assuming it really was a man named Daniel) undid it all for me and I didn’t have to lose too much of the work that had been done.
 
Are you a new gadget and technology person or do you run and hide under the bed, refusing to upgrade like me ? LOL.
