Thanks for stopping by.  If you’re new to my website, I’m the author of over thirty romantic fiction novels, and a series of short stories I call  Flirts. I love to tell a story that sometimes makes you laugh, sometimes makes you cry, often has a surprise or two, but always ends happily ever after.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband, a rescued German Shepherd who believes himself to be the neighborhood goodwill ambassador (the German Shepherd, not my hubby),  a fifty-pound American Pit Bull who is convinced he's a lapdog.  Occasionally I get to puppysit my Golden Retriever  grandpuppy.  All dutifully sit at my feet as I write my next story.

So come on in, explore my pages, and see what's in store for you!

Waiting Impatiently

This author is very frustrated with her kitchen remodel.  I've been back from traveling for almost two weeks and nothing has been done. Nada. Niet. Nix. lol.  My handyman who is doing the painting has extended his two week vacation into four weeks and the last two days his flight home has been cancelled.  Then the countertop guy has taken forever to get me a sink price and now a bigger job has bumped me down on the schedule and the oven I bought the people cut the wires in the wrong place and so far two appliance people have not been able to help replace the dumb wires - so I'll take prayers that the last guy can find the right cord!

Needless to say, I'm getting restless as Thanksgiving approaches - not just for the cooking, but all of my kitchen is scattered around my dining room and living room. And yet  - through all this - I'm still writing. I have offiically finished the first quarter of book four of the Barons of Texas. I also have a tentative release date of 12/27 but it's not confirmed yet. We're also pretty sure that the books will be available earlier than that on my website, but I will keep you posted on that!

Other than juggling tradesmen I've been trying to be better about walking - today that it's pouring rain, I've taken to walking circles around my first floor - takes me about an hour to get in 5k steps, but it's good for me - that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL.

When I do walk the neighborhood I get to keep up with what's going on. Some of my neighbors really get into Halloween. Check this out! (sorry it's a little fuzzy- but without my eyeglasses I can't tell LOL)

We also started up our once a month neighborhood evening hangout since the pandemic.  Learned how to make hard boiled eggs in the microwave and the deviled eggs were a hit.  I also have serious back porch envy.  Check this out.  Would you love an outside living area like this, or not?

See y'all next week - maybe by then I'll have kitchen progress to share!

I feel your kitchen renovation pain. I was told 8 weeks for mine and it ended up taking 6 months. Don't get me wrong, I love it, although I wish I was more insistent about a couple of things. It will come together, just have patience.

Loved that back patio. Although, it really doesn't look like it's outside.

Take care Chris.

I hope the kitchen gets done sooner than later - and I know that outside porch looks like a living room but it was really nice. But I don't see it in my future.

Oh I feel bad for you, Chris, I've heard so many nightmare stories with contractors and the trades. Especially since the pandemic. I hope it gets done soon for you. Love that patio!

All prayers accepted for the project to come together - I think my cabinet guy is mad at me though because we've stalled him - nothing more can be done until the oven cord is fixed, the doors are painted, and the last big cabinet (the coffee bar) can't be installed until the counters are in - it's a crazy jigsaw puzzle!
